In november verschijnt in acht Europese landen een
Metro-bijlage gemaakt door super diverse reporters.
Sarkis Bagramian is de winnaar van de eerste prijs van de internationale
fotowedstrijd “Superdiversiteit”. Foto
werd spontaan gemaakt in Oostende tijdens het project van FMDO, waar Sarkis vrijwillig
fotograaf was.
Op 20 november werd de foto gepubliceerd in de krant Metro
N° 2665.

The "Days Before Yesterday" is one of the winners in Canvas TV's photostream ("De film van mijn leven" - 2009).
It has also been in competitions and exhibitions in various countries (Israel, USA, Canada, Norweg, Sweden, Finland, Belgium & other)
The photo was taken by me in 25.08.07. It was made with shutter speed of 1/250-th of a second. The car was moving
& I saw the Cadillac driver and the person in the wheelchair looking at each other and took the shot. It was very exciting to catch them at this moment.

Technical camera (large format).

Above is a single shot with a technical camera and Kodak 100 TMAX 9X12 monochrome film (large format). After scanning I have changed a colour space from black to blue (blue is the exact colour of the glass I have used for this image) .
The LARGE FORMAT was very convenient for press photography since it allowed for direct contact printing on the printing plate. This was done well into 1940s and 1950s, even with the advent of more convenient and compact medium format or 35 mm roll-film cameras which started to appear in the 1930s. The 35mm and medium format SLR which appeared in the mid-1950s were soon adopted by press photographers.
Large format, both film-based and digital, is still used for many applications, for example: landscape photography, advertising photos, fine-art photography, scientific applications and generally for images that will be enlarged to a high magnification while requiring a high level of detail.
In the printing industry, very large fixed cameras were also used to make large films for the preparation of lithographic plates before computer to film and computer to plate techniques were introduced.

About Cross-Processing

Cross-processing is developing color print or slide film in the wrong chemicals — for example, color negative film in slide chemicals ("C-41 as E-6") or slide film by the color negative process ("E-6 as C-41"). Not surprisingly, this causes wild color and contrast shifts and requires lots of trial and error. But for a period in the 1980s and 1990s, cross-processed images were very much the vogue, with Nick Knight's fashion and studio work being arguably the most influential.With many possible permutations of film stock and processing technique, there is no single, identifiable, cross-processed appearance. The most common combination is C-41 as E-6, in which slide chemistry is used to process color negative film, and it's a quick job to imitate it in Photoshop. Image contrast is usually high with blown-out highlights, while the shadows tend toward dense shades of blue. Reds tend to be magenta, and highlights normally have a yellow-green color cast.

Bard Cottage Cemetary (1915-1918)

Memorial of Fallen Soldiers "Bard Cottage" near Ieper. The cemetery takes it's name from a house which lay between the road and the canal bank, close to a bridge known as Bard’s Causeway. It was first used in June 1915 and was in constant use until October 1918.
Casualty Details: UK 1622, Canada 15, South Africa 2, Germany 4.
I took this panoramic using 35mm negative film without any filters and tripod.
Dramatic place were the landscape is full of military cemeteries from First World War.

Ballet is a very wonderful mixture of a number and forms of arts as Dancing, Music, Drama, Poetry, Design and Painting.
An art performed by individuals or groups of human beings, in which the human body is the instrument and movement is the medium. It helps to improve poor posture and improve poise. It improves body control and balance. It teaches discipline of body and emotions.

The old age has the charm, how longer then more close to the God.

Old Age Is a Blessing from God

“Happy is a man who finds wisdom and who acquires understanding… She is more precious than jewels; nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left, riches and honor” (Proverbs 3:13, 15-16).

The Bible speaks on aging and there are many helpful teachings on the nature of aging, characteristics of the aged, responsibilities of older people, and the care of older people.

Old age may be the fruition of a moral life and an indication of God’s favor.
“Follow the whole instruction the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, prosper, and have a long life in the land you will possess” (Deuteronomy 5:33).

Old age is a general part of God’s purpose for a normal life.
“He took his last breath and died at a ripe old age, old and contented, and he was gathered to his people” (Genesis 25:8).
“David son of Jesse… died at a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor…” (1 Chronicles 29:26, 28).
“Then Job died, old and full of days” (Job 42:17).

Old age may be one reward of those who honor their parents.
“Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12).
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, because this is right. Honor your father and mother—which is the first commandment with a promise—that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in the land” (Ephesians 6:1).
“If you walk in My ways and keep My statutes and commandments just as your father David did, I will give you a long life” (1 Kings 3:14).
“Gray hair is a glorious crown; it is found in the way of righteousness” (Proverbs 16:31).

Interieur 2008/ 21st International Biennale - picture N°1

(Picture from below N°1) The given picture I have made during 21st International Biennale "Interieur 2008" in Belgium, where I used series of very long shutter speeds (5-12 second) with my Canon 24-105 f:4 IS L on a tripod with Image Stabilizer activated and with Canon Remote Control . The STABILIZER was activated transforms the image from a blur to a sharpie and reduce vibration from any sources.
The sense was to not photograph the people, moving objects, but It was very populous there and for this problem I used my favourite technics - which result you will see in a picture from below (N°2)

The nature is somewhat the Gospel, which preaching creative force, wisdom and any greatness of the God.

Story:
This story is told of three visitors to the Grand Canyon - an artist, a pastor, and a cowboy. Each one was amazed at the sight before them.

The artist exclaimed that the Grand Canyon would make for a beautiful painting.

The pastor saw in the canyon an awesome example of God's creative handiwork.

But the cowboy moaned, "Sure would be a mighty bad place to lose a cow!"

MORAL:
Who we are is reflected in the way we see things. Being a follower of Jesus involves seeing ourselves, our world and God in a new and exciting way ♥

A story about Picasso

The story goes that a wealthy couple was honeymooning in the south of France in the early sixties. The groom was a connoisseur and collector of fine art. In fact he owned several paintings by Pablo Picasso. By coincidence, they met an art dealer at their hotel who knew Picasso personally and offered an introduction. Arrangements were made for a rendezvous at Picasso’s villa in Vallauris, just outside Cannes, the following day.
The party arrived at noon and was treated to a tour of Picasso’s studio by the master himself. In the course of small talk, the groom gathered all of his nerve to ask Picasso if he would consider painting a portrait of his bride. To his surprise, Picasso agreed. In their excitement the couple began chattering about how long to extend their hotel reservation and about buying a special gown for the sitting… until Picasso brusquely interrupted to ask if a photograph of the young woman was available. Her husband took a snapshot from his wallet and handed it over. “Well,” Picasso said, “just leave this with me and go find some lunch in the village. Come back in one hour. I will have a painting for you.”
Astonished, the couple left with the art dealer for a bite to eat. They returned in one hour, just as Picasso was putting the finishing touches on a splendid if rather theoretical likeness of the beautiful bride. (Incidentally, you may assume that Picasso infringed no one’s copyright by creating a derivative work from the snapshot; the groom took the photo!) Everyone was pleased.The groom inquired casually about Picasso’s fee, as he reached into his pocket for a checkbook. Picasso asked for $25,000 (in French francs). While price was no obstacle, the man joked about what a nice job it was to make $25,000 an hour painting pictures. Picasso’s sober retort was, “You don’t pay me by the hour. You pay for the years of hard work that made it possible for me to paint such a picture in only one hour!”

Restoration

A photo or a film is a great example of recorded history. Unfortunately, overtime the materials they are made out of lose their structure and break down. If this happens with one of your photographs, don't worry, just contact me and I will restore it.
During the restoration, the photograph will preserve its original futures, because I work with each individual pixel and not with the whole outline. I can even fix fractions that have been completely damaged or have disappeared. I can also produce the original colours from a black and white photo.
